Let's assume that we have a soundfont that was previously converted or created with another application and the order of the modulators in it is not correct (I'm talking about the Instruments section). In other words, first the default-mode is wanted to be disabled and then a value is written here. However, this order is wrong in the soundfont(s) we have. Since the default-mode order is disabled later, the previously assigned (or overridden) value is also reset.
If it were possible to change the order of the modulators in the software, it would be easy to change their places by dragging them to each other's places (or changing the order number).
In the current situation: Trying to solve this situation with strange operation orders such as copying, deleting and re-pasting the modulators whose order is problematic and trying to remember which operation you did in which order at that moment is quite difficult. And trying to fix this one by one in 128+ instruments is like encouraging you to give up on doing this job from the very beginning.
