How do I copy a violin from one sf2 to another

    I know Polyphone can do this, but I just can't find the directions in the User Manual. I want to open a large existing orchestral .sf2 soundfont, copy only the violin parts from it, and paste them into a new .sf2 font, so that I can combine several of my favored violins into one new .sf2 file. If you could briefly explain, or point me to the correct section in the manual for how to do this, I would be grateful.

    i dont know how in the newest version, i still use the 1.9 version, because it works better for me, the layout of the newer versions may look very pretty on a phone or tablet with all those icons, but on my wide screen they are pretty annoying.
    in 1.9 it is very easy;
    1. open the font with the violin
    2. create a new soundfont.
    3. draw the Violin preset from the Violin.sf2 to the Preset folder of your new created font.
    4. Save

    Thanks much. I discovered that if I open the soundfont, left-click on the "Presets" tab, then left-click on the instrument under that tab on the left side of the menus, then "copy" using Ctrl-C, then paste (ctrl-V) into a new .sf2 soundfont that I created, it works. I can save the violins and any other instruments I wish.
