Flac support

Question for the house: can Polyphone deal with SFZ fonts utilizing the compressed FLAC file format?

The reason I ask is because in attempting to load an SFZ with flac samples, there ends up being no samples showing, and I wanted to make sure it was because it isn't supported rather than my doing something incorrectly. If it isn't, I would recommend that it and other formats be supported in future versions: e.g. .OGG.

While I'm at it, if you would kindly, let me know what file formats are supported for samples.

Thanks for the software, and happy belated new year.

Flac support would be an interesting feature. I add it to the list since for now only wav files are supported.
I don't want to encourage the use of OGG files since this is a lossy compression, I prefer avoiding it. Materials for a soundfont are clean samples.

Happy new years for you too

Yes I know about flac and I agree with you regarding the fact that it could be integrated into Polyphone

Shame on users using mp3 ! Mp3 samples are not real samples and I prefer people to know it. I would prefer letting them using a soundfont converter for this task since they are off the beaten path. This is definitely not the right way.
