  What the? I just installed the program and it stopped responding the moment I started it! I checked to make sure I downloaded the right one! I don't even see the menu! It skips straight to the stopped responding message! Please help! That would well... Help!

  Did you install visual C++ or Qt Creator in the past?
  You could try to install or reinstall the 2013 runtime from Microsoft but not sure it will help:
