Editing Big File; program now says "corrupt"

As if making the program crash sometimes instead of actually saving wasn't bad enough, apparently trying to save the file has lead to the file being 'unreadable.' Using a copy does nothing to offset the problem, so I guess I'm screwed?

Is there any way at all to fix this problem? The file's still WAY too big to even THINK about opening in 1.9, and 2.0.1 just tells me to fuck right off because I guess it doesn't feel like opening a file that it corrupted.

Update: apparently, trying to open the Temp versions of the file, both of which are 3/4 the size of the original file, gives me "sorry, no. corrupted" as well. What does "pdta" even mean? All I've done is rename some of the instruments so far!

Edit: apparently the first temp file (from the last time hitting save made the program implode) is corrupted for a different reason listed as "sdta." Don't know if that's relevant.

The bug should've been fixed in 2.0.

    The 2GB limit

Before I can help you to fix this issue, I will ask you a few questions:

    1. How big is the PDTA-Corrupted Soundfont?
    2. How big is the SDTA-Corrupted Soundfont?
    3. Do any bigger Soundfonts open?

pdta and sdta are parts of the file and this is for debug purposes.

Do you have a link to a big soundfont that can be read with Polyphone and that is apparently messed up after a save? Maybe there is a problem in the save function when dealing with some giga bytes of data.

update: i remember checking the 24-bit sample box before it got corrupted. my money's on that being the reason why. for ME at least this problem isn't applicable anymore, because i restarted working on that project already and got to more or less the same place I was before. dunno what to say for that other dude

    Mine was 24-bit too...

According to some documents I found, 24-bit samples were added some time around the turn of the century. Rework time?

Never mind. The pdta section wasn't saved correctly for some unknown reason during a save, so it's all lost...
