Hi there! I'm using a Surface Pro 11 with an ARM64 Snapdragon X Elite processor, and currently the Polyphone installer refuses to continue after the language selection step with an error message:
This program does not support the version of Windows your computer is running.
However, much to my surprise I noticed that the
portable version of Polyphone runs just fine out of the box! I haven't had a chance to test MIDI input yet (which may or may not work due to driver issues), but everything else I tested worked without issue.
Is there any chance the Windows installer could be updated to not block installation on ARM64 devices? Windows 11's built-in Prism emulation handled the x64 executable of Polyphone pretty well in my testing, and not everyone might think to try the portable version like I did after seeing the "not supported" dialog in the installer.
Thanks!
(side note: although a native ARM64 version of Polyphone would be
awesome, I realize this could potentially be a much bigger endeavor, so simply allowing the x64 version to install on ARM64 devices would at least unblock people who want to do basic editing on those devices.)
